As a Vice President, Dan is responsible for deal origination: initiating, evaluating, and developing new platform investments and acquisition opportunities, as well as developing investment themes and intermediary relationships.

Prior to joining Serent, Dan worked at Castle Crow & Company, a merchant banking firm in San Francisco and Lake Tahoe, where he originated and evaluated several successful acquisitions for middle-market private equity funds and strategic buyers. While at Castle Crow, Dan worked on and developed investments in a wide range of technical industries including: highly engineered products, thermal management, aerospace, automotive retailing, foodservice, energy and infrastructure, healthcare, logistics, pharmaceuticals, specialty chemical, and test and measurement.

Prior to joining Castle Crow, Dan served as a strategy consultant for a San Francisco-based tax-equity fund and worked with many of Nevada's top private equity professionals to build relationships with business owners and analyze investment potential in more than 230 emerging companies. Prior to entering the private equity industry, Dan served as project engineer for the DMB/Highlands Group. He was responsible for budgeting and managing construction activities in the development of Martis Camp, a 653-site luxury golf and ski community on 2,100 acres near Lake Tahoe.

Dan received his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Cornell University and MBA from the University of Nevada.
