Serent Capital, a San Francisco and Austin-based private equity firm focused on investing in fast-growing software and services businesses, announced that its portfolio company, ArbiterSports, has acquired FamilyID, an online registration platform that connects students with athletic programs and other school activities. The acquisition complements ArbiterSport’s existing suite of offerings provided to schools, leagues and related organizations, enabling the company to address the enrollment, payments, and eligibility tracking requirements of its customers.
ArbiterSports has been a leader in athletic and event management for over 35 years. ArbiterSport’s platform manages over 14 million athletic officiating assignments each year across more than 500,000 officials, processing in excess of 2 million payments per year. This acquisition furthers ArbiterSports’ capabilities to empower the officials, athletic directors, teachers, and volunteers who work to transform lives through their engagement in athletics and school activities. FamilyID, founded in 2010 by Rochelle Nemrow, provides an online student registration platform that manages over 5 million registrations for over 1.8 million families to date. Rochelle will join the ArbiterSports leadership team as Chief Strategy Officer.
“We are excited to welcome FamilyID to Arbiter,” said Kyle Ford, President and CEO of ArbiterSports. “Rochelle Nemrow is a talented entrepreneurial executive, who built a registration business that sets the standard in the space. As we evaluated a potential partnership between our two companies, we were impressed with how the culture, mission and values of FamilyID mesh with those here at Arbiter. The addition of an established online student registration solution to the Arbiter portfolio gets us one step closer to an All-in-One solution.”
“This is an incredible opportunity for FamilyID to join a company that shares our values, our vision and our priorities,” said Rochelle Nemrow, founder and CEO of FamilyID. “We’re accelerating our ability to deliver more for our customers. As part of Arbiter, FamilyID will be part of a more comprehensive solution with an even brighter future.”
“Since our investment, ArbiterSports has grown its customer base substantially, expanded its product offerings, and continued to deliver exceptional value to its clients. We are excited to support the company’s rapid growth as it expands its offerings with this acquisition,” said Navid Oreizy, Principal at Serent Capital.
