Mark Shang, CFO

Prior to joining Serent Capital, Mark was at PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he worked in the Transaction Services Practice. In that role, he led financial due diligence engagements related to acquisitions by private equity firms and strategic buyers, including assessing trends in financial and operating results of targets, evaluating management projections and client financial models, and analyzing the quality of earnings. In addition, he led teams across tax, structuring, human resources, and risk managements groups in developing diligence assessments for clients.

Prior to joining the Transaction Services Practice, Mark was in the Audit and Business Advisory Services Practice for PwC. In that role, he advised clients on accounting, financial statement, and regulatory issues. He also performed valuations of equities, derivative, and bonds.

Mark has a BS in Commerce, with a concentration in Accounting from the University of Virginia. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst, and a Certified Public Accountant.
