Bret Forster, Vice President

Prior to joining Serent Capital, Bret worked in private equity at Industrial Growth Partners, an $825 million lower middle market firm, focused on growing businesses in the manufacturing and manufacturing services sectors.

Previously, Bret was an Operations Manager and then Client Care Manager at ServiceSource. In his role as Operations Manager, he developed a performance dashboard reporting system, led a Business Objects database implementation, and opened the first European office. As Client Care Manager, he worked with the CEO on increasing the size and scope of key client relationships.

Prior to ServiceSource, he worked as a management consultant for McKinsey & Company doing a variety of operational improvement and sales force effectiveness projects for Fortune 500 companies. Bret also worked in Shanghai with the Nicobar Group, a growing service business that helps US manufacturing companies set up Chinese contract manufacturing partnerships.

Bret holds an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business and a B.S. from Stanford University in Industrial Engineering.

Bret focuses on Business Services investments for Serent Capital. His particular areas of interest are HR and Sales and Marketing Services.
